Now look at what the Green Party have done

Three Greens at the London Assembly: Sian Berry, Caroline Russell and Zack Polanski
• IF any Labour supporters were indeed persuaded by Siân Berry’s plea for votes in the London mayoral and assembly election, they will surely be dismayed by news that the Green Party immediately entered into a regressive alliance with the Conservative Party in City Hall, (Now try some of our ideas, say Greens after vote gains, May 13).
How disappointing to see the Greens backing the Tories in this way.
Voters in Highgate won’t easily forget Siân Berry’s bizarre opposition to the new school buildings at Parliament Hill and William Ellis schools in her own ward, nor her opposition to the brand-new community centre being built for the people of Highgate Newtown.
Perhaps the Green Party isn’t quite as progressive as it likes to make out.
Meanwhile it is Camden’s Labour council that is delivering progressive measures to address climate change across the borough: tackling carbon emissions, introducing healthy school streets, creating new cycling routes, and installing electric vehicle charging points.
The Green Party’s shenanigans in City Hall show that they can’t really be trusted – while they ally with the Tories in London and elsewhere in the country, Camden Labour is delivering real change.
